Santa Barbara, California

After I woke up and ate and packed all my junk I went and headed for L.A. and Lisa's house. Had trouble finding it. I recognized the area but not the house. Finally went into the courtyard and found it.

She was very glad to see me. All her co-inhabitors had already left. She wanted to get going too. I didn't mind starting off either so after we ate supper (actually late lunch) we headed out along the Coast Highway. Passed Ventura, looked at the scenery.

Driving was okay. We didn't talk much. Some but not much. She was very excited and wondered at everything (because she had never been traveling before). She was amazed by the scenery we passed.

We drove on heading for Santa Barbara. She had a friend there that she hadn't seen for two years and wanted to see. It was a free place to crash, and a chance to meet interesting people so I wanted to go to. We got into Santa Barbara around 12 midnite.

We got lost several times, then I finally found the street. We went along, found the house, tied the cat up, and went in. We went upstairs, knocked on several doors but got no answers even though we had seen some lights on. All the doors were old and had padlocks on them. Finally we started calling out and woke up the landlady.

There are some drawings, notes, directions, in the journal from later dates. I'll put those in the next page that is the prologue. At this point the hand written journal ends...
