Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota
Sun was out this morning then it got partly cloudy. Not too bad. It's windy though.
I went shopping in town. Also went to Belfield to get fresh meat. Town is absolutely dead during the day. Talked to two kids from N. Dakota. They live 60 miles north of Bismark. They don't know too much about camping.
Got some batteries for the radio. It's so nice to have music while I sit in camp. Did a wash. Not too much is happening here in camp. Went sightseeing a little.
I'm just resting before I move on again. Mortimer is happy. He sits in my lap and goes to sleep when traveling. He does get people very interested in me. I've found that to meet people I have to do some of the opening moves. Am learning.
A buffalo was right behind my tent yesterday and today. Everybody came over in ones and twos to see him but none of them would come into my camp until I invited them.
Met two girls (pretty, Mary, pretty) who stayed and talked some but nothing came of it. They came by this morning to take my picture. That was nice.
New people are coming into camp now. I think after a while I'll go out and meet them.
